New S’mores Frappuccino is Coming to Starbucks

Starbucks New S'mores Frappuccino

On April 28th, Starbucks will start serving its newest drink: the S’mores Frappuccino. As summer approaches, this drink—inspired by the whimsical treat of your childhood summers—will be perfect for sipping during the sunny days to come.

The S’mores Frappuccino starts off with a marshmallow whipped cream base, which is smothered in a layer of milk chocolate sauce; blended coffee Frappuccino infused with graham cracker syrup is added, a final layer of marshmallow-infused whipped cream tops it off, and the drink is finished with crushed graham cracker bits.

Unlike the recent Birthday Cake Frappuccino which was briefly sold in honor of the 20-year Frappuccino anniversary, the S’mores Frapp will stick around a lot longer. In fact, shortly after its debut, the annual 10-day-long Frappuccino Happy hour event begins. You’ll be able to try the S’mores Frappuccino for half-off! Perfect timing.

Starbucks reports that their Caramel Ribbon Crunch Frappuccino will also return at the end of this month, along with its signature dark caramel sauce. That means you’ll be able to indulge in secret Starbucks drinks which use that rich caramel sauce.

A bottled version of the S’mores Frappuccino will also be sold at most grocery stores, along with a bottled version of the beloved Mocha Coconut Frappuccino. Neither will be as good as their parent beverages, but it’s something you can leave in your fridge and enjoy on a lazy Sunday morning when you don’t feel like putting on pants.

Starbucks describes the bottled version as follows: “Starbucks Bottled Frappuccino S’mores Flavored Chilled Coffee Drink brings a layered taste experience of sweet marshmallow and chocolaty graham flavors blended with cool creamy milk and Starbucks coffee.”

Summer drinks at Starbucks are starting to sound mighty tasty!

UPDATE: Now that they’re available, and I’ve actually tried one, I can confidently say that they taste oddly similar to s’mores flavored Pop-Tarts as a whole. The marshmallow whipped cream and the milk chocolate sauce are delicious on their own and taste great in other secret menu Frappuccinos.
