Japan’s 11 Best Memes & Viral Phenomenon

A lot of wonderful things have come out of Japan. Like sushi, for example. Lately, Japan has been setting the meme bar higher and higher. Check out some of these memes popularized by Japanese school kids, and some Japanese animals!

Hadoken-ing

This trend either came from the Dragon Ball series’ kamehameha or Street Fighter’s Hadouken; either way, it’s pretty great. It’s being called Hadoken-ing and was started by Japanese school girls.

Anime-style Martial Arts

Of course it went further than just hadoken-ing. Apparently this is similar to hakkei, a Japanese martial arts technique. It has something to do with releasing explosive power and is related to the internal Chinese martial arts. Anyway, here are some pictures!
